Ravin’ Girls: This Raven Cycle-centered podcast, hosted by Shannon and Nievita, examines each book of the Raven Cycle in chapter chunks, with deep dives into related topics of mythology, tropes, or whatever else is relevant to those chapters. I love finding people who are just as passionate about The Raven Cycle as I am, just like I love catching new details and learning even more about one of my favorite series.

Ravin’ Girls: Okay, this one is a bit niche, but if you love The Raven Cycle like I do, you will love this podcast. It’s fantastic and each episode covers a couple of chapters of the books and goes deep into it. It’s amazing to listen to this as you’re reading the books, because it opens up a whole new perspective of the novels and really works well with the text itself. I love the hosts, they are beyond fun, and it’s just an entertaining experience.

Shannon and Nievita live, laugh and love The Raven Cycle wholeheartedly, so if you do too, you should subscribe posthaste. These Ravenclaw kids bring literary analysis, cheery fangirling and “deep dives” into folklore and history related to the books, and I am HERE FOR IT. Their friendship is #lifegoals and their discussions are always thoughtful, respectful and engaging—in a lot of ways, these podcasts remind me of the time I was in a car with my friend Punk, and we were so busy breaking down Tana French’s In The Woods (freakin’ Rob!) that we missed our turn and had to drive to the next exit. If this has ever happened to you, than this is definitely the podcast you’ve been looking for. Thank you for all the behind the scenes work and on-mic joy you bring to the podcast, Ravin’ Girls!

If you love the raven cycle you will love this podcast! It is very well thought out and gives a more in depth view of TRC that you might not have seen before. Also points out a lot of little things and is just overall a great podcast. I don’t like podcasts but I love this one!

It’s a rare podcast that makes the listener completely re-examine books that they already love! Shannon & Nievita bring something new to each chapter and point out details i’d never noticed before, and talk about history, mythology, fan theories, and anecdotes from Maggie Herself. The Ravin’ Girls are above and beyond even other YA podcasts i listen to! Whoop whoop, Ravin’ Girls!

Your podcast is the most beautiful thing ever. I love listening to it. You really bring these books that I already treasured deeply in my heart to life. I love to come to the podcast and listen to you rant about the Raven Cycle. I can’t imagine my life anymore without it. You guys bring joy and laugher to my day. Listening to this podcast is like drinking a cup of perfectly spiced hot coco, sitting by a particularly well articulated fire rumbling in a particularly thought provoking fireplace, with a pair of wonderful friends. Shannon and Nievita have such lovely rapport, and their insights are always so interesting and well thought out. Listening to their podcasts always adds something new to my experience with the raven cycle, and I always learn something fascinating from their deep dives. More importantly though, they just bring me joy. When I’m having a bad anxiety day I can listen to this podcast and it soothes my anxious little soul. It makes me calm. I cannot thank you both enough for that.
Also, I LOVE RONAN LYNCH so Nievita, I feel you. Come to the dark side Shannon, we have ravens!

These books are worthy of some in-depth analysis and these two do it beautifully. They catch so many details that I missed on my first and second read-through of the series. It’s like talking about your favorite books with your friends.

I love putting on this podcast while I sit with my morning coffee or my dinner. Listening feels like being at a book club where everybody is friends and the only book we read is the Raven Cycle. And that’s just the way I like it! The Deep Dives are well-researched and fit smoothly into the episode. The literary analysis is always clever; I read every word in a whole new light whenever I listen. Thank you so much, Shannon and Nievita, for being one of my favorite podcasts. And for publishing on Thursdays, so that all of my favorite podcasts come out on Thursdays. #IsItThursdayYet

This is fangirling at a scholarly level. I love the insights and research they put into the chapters. And it doesn’t matter if I knew the topics they bring up or not because it’s enjoyable to hear another pov for it. Additionally, you can tell they’re really close friends and I feel embraced into their friendship whenever I listen. Their voices also aren’t grating or annoying. I’m still new to the podcast but I already recommended it to a bunch of friends.

A must listen for any Raven Cycle fan. The series works really well with this level of in-depth analysis and I love every minute of it. The deep dives are well researched and enhance the story. Shannon and Nievita are smart and funny and mindful. They always make sure to provide trigger warnings and content warnings when they discuss difficult topics. They really do an amazing job. Can’t wait for the next episode!

TRC is my favourite book series and this podcast provides a deeper understanding that I would never have come to on my own. This podcast makes me laugh and I appreciate people who appreciate Ronan Lynch as much as I do, five stars along for that haha. I’m encouraging friends to read this series and I can’t wait to link them to the podcast when they’re done! I highly recommend this podcast whether you’re a seasoned fan of the books or a casual reader, you will leave with a new appreciation from the book and the knowledge that Adam Parrish is a “plant daddy/think/twonk”. Worth it.

so pleasant and funny to listen to! the analysis is so interesting and thought provoking, and i’m so grateful to yall for doing so much great research into the context/background/lore/etc as a) i don’t have the time or skill to do it myself and b) it adds so much more flavour to the books!! as an english literature student it all makes my heart sing, thank you

This podcast was everything I didn’t know I needed in my life! (I’m not typically much of a podcast listener, but woooow have you brightened my morning commute significantly.) As a Raven Cycle super-fan myself, I absolutely love the detail, analysis, intelligence, and so much TRC love from Nievita and Shannon. I really do hope you continue your podcast through the whole series, because I am definitely HERE FOR IT. Thanks, y’all!!

I can’t even put into words how much I love this podcast and how many EMOTIONS it has given me about a series I am already HIGHLY emotional about. Shannon and Nievita are so funny and genuine and real, and their analyses are spot-on! I love how passionate they are about their deep dive topics and about the characters, and how fantastic they are at drawing parallels across the texts and pointing out connections, mirrors, foreshadowing, etc., that I never realized on my own. So excellent and I can’t wait for more of them!!!

Ravin’ Girls certainly scratches all the correct itches of this Raven Cycle fan. Nievita loves Ronan, Shannon loves Blue, and they dive deep into topics of interest that crop up in the seriers (ley lines, and Camaros, and corvids, oh! my!). The friendship between N and S is evident, and I love the dynamic their relationship brings to the discussion. This podcast is a must for every Raven Cycle / Maggie Stiefvater fan.
